New book publication concludes ILO-EU project on minimum wages

Edward Elgar just published the book “The Minimum Wage Revisited In The Enlarged EU” edited by Daniel Vaughan-Whitehead. See here.
The book brings together 13 country studies of old and new member states and discusses the implications for the debate on introducing a European regulation of minimum pay in some way. The studies were part of a special project funded by the International Labour organisation in Geneva in cooperation with the European Commission, which took place in 2008. Wiemer Salverda took part in the project and contributed the chapter on the Netherlands. The AIAS working paper No 09-71 provides the background to his chapter.
