University Autonoma of Barcelona

The University Autonoma of Barcelona (UAB) is internationally renowned for its quality and innovation in research.
The University coordinates a potent scientific and technological centre (the Esfera UAB), promotes new business projects, and directs and projects its productive activity towards its socio-economic surroundings by disseminating new knowledge.
The UAB houses a number of institutes and research centres that either belong to the university, are part of an inter-university programme, or are affiliated with the university.
The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona plays a leading role in scientific research. Its main areas ofinvestigation include Biotechnology and Biomedicine, Animal Health, Food Technology, Environmental Sciences and Technology, Nanotechnology, Microelectronics, Material Science and Engineering, Social Sciences, and research in Humanities. This wide range of disciplines all integrated into one area helps to promote multidisciplinarity in research.
The Institut d’Estudis del Treball (Institute for Labour Studies) is a UAB-approved research Institute created in 2011. It will be the research unit in charge of carry on the project.
The general aim of the IET is the promotion, development and dissemination of research around work and work-related issues. The study of work is accordingly approached in a broad way hence including both production and reproduction spheres, their relationship and impact on other aspects.
